New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) – The country's largest airline IndiGo issued a travel advisory on Saturday. IndiGo said that airport operators and Air Traffic Control (ATC) teams are working on a priority basis to fully restore the system and stabilize operations. IndiGo

issued the travel advisory by posting on the social media platform X. The company acknowledged that many flights are being delayed and cancelled due to the technical glitch, but the situation is expected to return to normal in the next few hours.

IndiGo wrote that the operator and ATC teams are working on a priority basis to fully restore the system and stabilize operations. The situation is expected to return to normal within the next few hours. During this time, adjustments to some departure and arrival times may continue. Our teams are on the ground and are actively assisting customers by providing updated schedules, onward connections, and real-time information to ease any inevitable waits.

Passengers are advised to check their latest flight status on the website link if they are flying today. Sources say the problem began Friday night when IndiGo's booking and check-in systems suddenly malfunctioned. Passengers were left waiting for hours at major airports like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. Many passengers complained on social media about flight status updates and long queues at counters.

IndiGo apologized and stated, "We are deeply grateful for your patience and understanding. We are here to support you and ensure your journey is as comfortable and seamless as possible." The company has also offered affected passengers free rescheduling, refunds, and hotel accommodation options. IndiGo's ground staff at Delhi airport are providing assistance by opening additional desks. Last year, IndiGo faced a similar problem, after which the company promised a system upgrade.
