Jaipur(The Uttam Hindu): Jaipur Police have solved a one-year-old mysterious death case of 20-year-old Priyanshu Meena, whose body was found on July 11, 2024, under suspicious circumstances in the Shipra Path area. Initially considered an overdose, the case has now been confirmed as murder.

Key accused Abhishek alias Bhola, a friend of the victim, allegedly got Priyanshu addicted to drugs. On the day of the incident, Bhola pawned Priyanshu's ₹1 lakh iPhone for ₹5,000 to buy a lethal drug injection called "Evil" and smack from a known drug supplier Kalpana Sansi. The injection was forcibly administered near a drain, resulting in instant death. Kalpana Sansi, already on police radar, was found supplying smack to Jaipur’s youth and has now been arrested alongside Bhola.

Priyanshu’s father, Gajendra Meena, had suspected foul play from the beginning and filed a complaint. A year-long investigation led by DCP South Digant Anand and SHO Rajendra Godara finally revealed the truth. The case highlights the growing drug menace targeting youth, where even expensive gadgets are being used as currency for addiction.
