J&K: SIA raids various locations at Poonch, case related to narco terrorism
J&K (The Uttam Hindu): In J&K State Investigation Agency has raided various locations of Poonch. The case is related to the narco terrorism. From last few days , the police is keeping an eye on terror related activities. Actually, From last few months to keep terrorism alive in J&K Pakistan is taking support of narco terrorism.
Under this, by sending narcotics to Jammu and Kashmir along with terrorists, the money earned from it is being used to carry out terrorist activities. The State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Friday raided several places in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir. A house allegedly linked to terrorists is being raided. On May 17, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) had carried out extensive raids at around 11 places in central and north Kashmir. Earlier on May 11, the SIA had raided 20 places including Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam and Shopian.
These raids were conducted in South Kashmir as part of the ongoing investigation of the sleeper cell module. These cells were found to be transmitting sensitive and strategic information related to Indian security forces and key installations using encrypted messaging platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal. A statement was also issued by the SIA regarding this. In which it was told that these raids were conducted to investigate the cases registered under various sections.
Officials had said that a large quantity of incriminating material was seized during the raid and the suspects were detained for further interrogation. Preliminary investigation revealed that these terror associates were actively involved in the terrorist conspiracy, propagating and spreading anti-India narratives aimed not only at challenging the sovereignty and territorial integrity of India but also at inciting disaffection, public disorder and communal hatred.
