Major Encounter in Delhi: 4 Gangsters Killed in Police Shootout, Three Among Bihar’s Most Wanted

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): In a major joint operation, the Delhi Police Crime Branch and Bihar Police achieved a significant success on Wednesday night. During a late-night encounter in Delhi’s Rohini area, four notorious gangsters were shot dead by the police. Among those killed, three were listed as Bihar’s most wanted criminals.

According to police sources, the encounter took place around 2:20 AM on Bahadur Shah Marg. The joint team had received information about the gangsters’ presence in the area. When the police tried to surround and capture them, the criminals opened fire. The police retaliated, leading to a fierce exchange of bullets. All four gangsters sustained severe injuries during the crossfire.

The injured men were immediately taken to Dr. BSA Hospital in Rohini, where doctors declared them dead on arrival.

Police identified the deceased as Ranjan Pathak (25), Bimlesh Mahto (25), Manish Pathak (33), and Aman Thakur (21). Ranjan, Bimlesh, and Manish hailed from Sitamarhi district of Bihar and had multiple serious criminal charges against them. The fourth gangster, Aman Thakur, was a resident of Karawal Nagar, Delhi. Further investigation into the case is underway.
