Major incident: Bodies of five family members found inside locked house, bullet marks on bodies

Saharanpur (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking incident came to light on Tuesday morning in Kaushik Vihar Colony of the Sarsawa area, where the bodies of five members of the same family were found inside a locked house. The discovery created panic in the locality. After receiving information, the SP (Rural) reached the spot along with the police force and began the investigation.

According to the police, the house was locked from inside, and bullet marks were found on all the bodies. The deceased have been identified as Ashok, his wife Anjita, his mother Vidyawati, and his two sons Kartik and Dev. Ashok was posted as an Amin in the tehsil.

Three country-made pistols were also recovered from the spot. Preliminary investigation suggests the case could be of mass suicide or murder followed by suicide, though the exact circumstances are still unclear. All bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and a detailed investigation is underway.

The forensic team has collected evidence from the scene. Police officials stated that the real cause of the incident will be clear only after the post-mortem reports and completion of the investigation.
