‘Mann Ki Baat’: PM Modi recalls milestones that made every Indian proud

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed the nation through the 128th episode of his monthly radio program "Mann Ki Baat." During the program, he described the month of November as a month of inspiration and shared the country's achievements in the cultural, agricultural, defense, and sports fields. The PM said that whether it's the record food grain production of 357 million tons or the world victory of the blind women's cricket team, India's flag is flying high across the world today.


Historic record in agriculture: Production increased by 100 million tons in 10 years. Praising the hard work of the farmers, the Prime Minister said that India has set a new record in the agricultural sector. The country has produced 357 million tons of food grains, which is a historic record. He compared and said that India's food grain production has increased by 100 million tons in the last 10 years, which reflects the country's self-reliance.


Echoing 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' in defence and space, PM Modi highlighted India's quantum leap in the defence and space sectors. He cited the inauguration of the world's largest leap engine MRO facility in Hyderabad, the induction of INS Mahe in Mumbai, and the new Skyroot campus, calling them a reflection of India's new thinking and "youth power."


ISRO's Drone Competition and the spirit of Pune's youth While discussing innovation among the youth, the PM narrated the story of a unique drone competition of ISRO. He told how the Gen-Z youth of the country attempted to fly a drone in extreme conditions like Mars (without GPS support). The PM specially praised a team from Pune, who did not give up despite crashing several times and finally succeeded in flying a drone in conditions like Mars.


Referring to the G-20 summit, the Prime Minister said that India also adopted the "vocal for local" mantra there. India's gifts to world leaders focused on local art and craftsmanship, ensuring a global platform for Indian products.


Speaking about the achievements of the women's cricket team and the Commonwealth Games in the sporting world, PM Modi described the Indian women's blind cricket team's World Cup victory as historic. He said, "Our team won this tournament without losing a single match. This courage and spirit of the players inspires every Indian." He also expressed his happiness at India's hosting of the Commonwealth Games.


Salute to cultural heritage: At the beginning of his address, the PM also mentioned the programmes organised on Constitution Day on 26th November, hoisting of Dharmadhwaja at Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Panchjanya Memorial in Kurukshetra and completion of 150 years of Vande Mataram.
