New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Aam Aadmi Party's national convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has expressed deep grief over the stampede incident at the famous Mansa Devi temple in Haridwar. He has termed this tragedy not just an accident but a systemic failure.

Arvind Kejriwal wrote on social media platform X- The mind is saddened by the heart-wrenching incident of stampede at the Mansa Devi temple in the holy city of Haridwar. May God give strength to the devotees who lost their loved ones and give peace to the departed souls.

Such horrific incidents at religious places expose the negligence of the systems. This is not just an accident, but a failure of the system, for which accountability should be fixed.

Kejriwal's statement has directly raised questions on the working style of the Uttarakhand government. Every year lakhs of devotees reach Haridwar and Mansa Devi temple on the occasion of Sawan, but despite this why does crowd management and security arrangements fail every time? Now the BJP government of Uttarakhand will have to answer this question. AAP leaders have alleged that this accident is the result of administrative negligence and political apathy. When it was already anticipated that a huge crowd would gather, why were proper arrangements not made? Demanding transparency and accountability, the Aam Aadmi Party has demanded a high-level judicial inquiry into this incident and said that mere formality will not solve the matter. Strict action should be taken against the culprits. So that the victim families can get justice.
