Mexico’s Fatima Bosch crowned Miss Universe 2025; India’s Manika Vishwakarma misses out on Top 12

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Mexico’s Fatima Bosch has won the Miss Universe 2025 title at the grand event held in Thailand. She was crowned by Miss Universe 2024, Victoria Kejser Theilvig from Denmark. As soon as Fatima’s name was announced, the entire hall erupted in excitement. Her emotions clearly reflected the years of dedication and hard work that led to this moment.

During the question–answer round, Fatima was asked about the biggest challenges women face in 2025 and how she would use the Miss Universe platform to support women’s safety and opportunities. She confidently said she would use her voice and influence to promote change and women’s empowerment, emphasizing that today women are ready not only to speak up but also to lead.

India’s Manika Vishwakarma could not make it to the Top 12 this year. More than 100 contestants from around the world participated in the pageant. The finalists included contestants from Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Guadeloupe, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, China, the Philippines, Thailand, Malta, and Côte d'Ivoire. India’s badminton star Saina Nehwal was part of the official judging panel this year.
