Mid-Air Windshield Crack Forces Emergency Landing, 76 Passengers Safe

Chennai (The Uttam Hindu): A potentially dangerous situation was averted when the windshield of a private airline’s aircraft cracked mid-flight. Thanks to the pilot’s quick thinking, all 76 passengers on board landed safely. The flight had departed from Madurai Airport on Saturday.

Just before landing, the pilot noticed a crack on the front windshield of the cockpit and immediately informed Air Traffic Control (ATC). Upon receiving the alert, ATC took all necessary measures to ensure the plane could land safely.

After a smooth landing, all passengers disembarked safely. The aircraft was inspected, and the cracked windshield was replaced. The exact cause of the windshield crack is still under investigation. Following this incident, the aircraft’s return flight to Madurai has been canceled. The Aviation Authority has launched a formal investigation to determine the cause and prevent future incidents.
