Nagpur solar plant disaster: water tank explosion claims 3 lives, 8 hurt

Nagpur (The Uttam Hindu): A heart-wrenching accident has come to light on Friday morning in Nagpur, Maharashtra, which has created panic in the industrial area. A huge water tank suddenly burst in the Avada Solar Plant located in Butibori MIDC Phase-2 of Nagpur. Many workers working there were caught in this flood of water and debris. This accident was so terrible that 3 workers died on the spot, while more than 8 people were seriously injured. The tank burst created chaos in the plant premises and there was screaming all around.

Upon receiving information about the incident, local police, fire department, and emergency services immediately arrived at the scene, and rescue operations began on a war footing. Rescue teams pulled out workers trapped under the debris and admitted the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment, where some are reported to be in critical condition. Police have taken possession of the bodies of the three deceased and sent them for post-mortem examination, and the process of identifying the deceased is underway.

This accident has once again raised serious questions about the safety of workers in industrial units. The administration has taken the matter seriously and launched a detailed investigation into how such a large tank could have exploded. Officials have clarified that the investigation will determine whether there was negligence in the tank's maintenance or whether the incident was a technical flaw. The administration has assured that after the investigation report is released, the strictest possible legal action will be taken against anyone found guilty.
