NIA arrests another aide of terrorist Umar who modified drones for attacks

Srinagar (The Uttam Hindu) – A major update has come in the Delhi blast case. The NIA has arrested another associate of terrorist Umar, Jaseer Bilal Wani alias Danish. Jaseer is accused of providing technical support to terrorist Umar. He modified drones for explosions and even attempted to build rockets.

The NIA had arrested another associate of Umar's a day earlier. The NIA identified the arrested terrorist as Aamir Rashid Ali. Aamir, originally from Kashmir, is accused of plotting the blast with Umar. The car used in the Delhi blast is also registered in Aamir Rashid Ali's name. The NIA has considered the Delhi blast to be the first such suicide attack.

Umar was driving a car packed with explosives that exploded near the Red Fort on November 10th, killing 15 people. On Sunday (November 16, 2025), the NIA arrested a man named Aamir Rashid Ali in connection with the case.
