Nitish Kumar should apologise or face consequences, Pakistani don threatens CM over hijab incident
Patna (The Uttam Hindu): The controversy surrounding Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar pulling off the hijab of a Muslim woman has now taken an international turn, with a Pakistani don entering the debate. Notorious Pakistani gangster Shehzad Bhatti released a video issuing a direct threat, warning that CM Nitish Kumar should apologise, or else he should not say later that no warning was given.
The controversy erupted on Monday in Patna when a newly appointed AYUSH doctor appeared visibly uncomfortable after Nitish Kumar removed her hijab while handing over her appointment letter. The incident took place during an official programme at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, ‘Samvad’, where appointment letters were being distributed to more than 1,000 AYUSH doctors.
A video clip of the incident has gone viral on social media, triggering widespread reactions and criticism. The matter escalated further after the Pakistani don’s video threat surfaced online, adding a new dimension to the already sensitive issue.
