Patna (The Uttam Hindu) : The Bihar BJP made a significant announcement on Tuesday, selecting its new leadership at a crucial legislative party meeting. The party appointed Samrat Chaudhary as legislative party leader and Vijay Kumar Sinha as deputy leader. Both names were unanimously approved at the meeting held at the BJP state headquarters.

With this decision, it is almost clear that Samrat Choudhary will be the primary choice for the post of Deputy Chief Minister in the upcoming government, while Vijay Sinha will once again play a key role as the second Deputy Chief Minister. In the meeting, senior MLA Prem Kumar proposed the names of both the leaders, which was supported by many MLAs including Ram Kripal Yadav, Krishna Kumar Rishi, Sangeeta Kumari, Arun Shankar Prasad, Mithilesh Tiwari, Nitin Naveen, Virendra Kumar, Rama Nishad, Manoj Sharma and Krishna Kumar Mantu.

On Wednesday, a meeting of the JDU legislative party was held at the CM House. Nitish Kumar has been elected as the leader of the legislative party in the meeting.
