Srinagar (The Uttam Hindu): Pakistan once again violated the ceasefire on Tuesday along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Tangdhar sector of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district, targeting Indian forward posts with heavy firing. The Indian Army gave a fitting reply by striking Pakistani positions across the border in the Leepa Valley.

Although the Ministry of Defence has not issued an official confirmation, sources said that the Indian troops were engaged in construction work on their side of the LoC when Pakistan opened fire to disrupt the activity. In response, Indian soldiers retaliated promptly, targeting Pakistani forward posts effectively.

The exchange of fire created tension along the border, but no reports of casualties or major damage have been received so far.
