PM Narendra Modi shared his vision for developed India, urging youth and cricket fans to contribute actively.
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Narendra Modi addressed the nation in the 132nd episode of Mann Ki Baat, speaking on global tensions, the ongoing conflict in West Asia, and its impact on fuel supplies. He noted that while the world was expected to move forward after the pandemic fresh conflicts have disrupted progress. Highlighting the large Indian diaspora in Gulf countries he expressed gratitude for their support and warned that the crisis in this energy-rich region is contributing to a global petrol and diesel shortage.
Addressing concerns over rising fuel issues, the Prime Minister urged citizens not to politicize the situation and to remain cautious of misinformation. He emphasized that India is managing the challenge through strong international relations and growing capabilities. He appealed to people to rely only on official sources and avoid rumors that could harm national interests. Alongside this, he spoke about initiatives like the “Gyan Bharatam” campaign encouraging citizens to help preserve ancient manuscripts, and highlighted the role of the My Bharat platform in involving young people in nation-building activities.
The Prime Minister also celebrated sporting achievements including India’s T20 World Cup success and Jammu and Kashmir’s Ranji Trophy victory praising players like Paras Dogra and young bowler Aaqib Nabi. He encouraged citizens to focus on fitness ahead of International Day of Yoga, advising a reduction in oil and sugar intake for better health. Stressing environmental responsibility, he called for water conservation and praised a record tree-planting drive in Varanasi. He also highlighted the success of the PM Suryaghar Bijli Yojana, noting the growing adoption of solar energy across households as a sign of a self-reliant India.
