New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A big conspiracy of the banned organization Popular Front of India (PFI) has been exposed. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has said, citing documents filed in the court, that PFI had prepared a list of about 972 people to target. The name of a former district judge of Kerala is also included in this list.

According to NIA documents, PFI had collected vital information related to people of other communities through its intelligence 'Reporters Wing'. This included designation, name, age and photographs of the targeted individuals as well as their personal information. The NIA told the court that PFI had three main units: 'Reporters Wing' (intelligence gathering wing), 'Physical and Arms Training Wing/PE' (physical and arms training wing) and 'Service Wing/Hit Teams' (attack teams).

The documents also claim that the 'Reporters Wing', which was functioning as a quasi-intelligence wing of the PFI, also collected information related to the personal activities and routines of prominent personalities of the society as well as leaders of other communities, especially the Hindu community.

The NIA in its plea to the court said that this data was compiled at the district level of PFI and then informed to the state level functionaries. The agency said that this information was regularly updated and used by the terrorist gang to target individuals as per the need.

These documents have been mentioned in an order of the special NIA court which rejected the bail plea of some of the accused in the 2022 S K Srinivasan murder case. S K Srinivasan, a senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) functionary, was allegedly murdered by PFI workers at his shop on April 16, 2022.

Opposing the bail plea, the NIA told the court that documents recovered from several accused revealed a list of 972 people, including a former district judge from Kerala from 'other community', and all of them were on the target of the banned organisation. It is worth noting that the central government had imposed a nationwide ban on PFI in September 2022.
