Red Fort theft breakthrough: Police arrest accused who stole Kalash worth ₹1 crore
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Delhi Crime Branch has arrested the accused who stole the Kalash worth about one crore rupees from the program of Jain community in front of Red Fort. Accused Bhushan Verma has been caught from Hapur and is being brought to Delhi.
The person who stole the Kalash worth Rs 1 crore was arrested from Hapur, he had escaped after stealing it from in front of the Red Fort: According to the police, Bhushan Verma already has five-six cases of theft registered against him. A total of 10 teams were formed to search for the accused. Four teams were engaged in the initial investigation, while later several departments including the district's Special Staff, AATS and Anti Narcotics Cell were included in it.
Sources say that the North District team had also got clues about the accused, but the Crime Branch acted first and nabbed the accused. He was arrested from Hapur just an hour ago.
After the theft of the Kalash, there was a lot of anger in the Jain community. Apart from the price, this Kalash has religious importance for the entire Jain community, due to which the anger in the community increased further.
