Kolkata(The Uttam Hindu): On the first anniversary of the rape and murder of a female doctor at Kolkata's government RG Kar Hospital, tensions flared in central Kolkata. Police lathicharged protesters at the Park Street intersection as they marched towards the Bengal Secretariat, Nabanna. The protesters, part of the 'Nabanna Chalo' campaign, demanded justice for the deceased doctor and called for the resignation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
