New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has expressed deep concern over the atrocities being committed against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. He said that Hindus are a minority in Bangladesh and the situation there is becoming increasingly difficult. Therefore, for maximum security, Hindus there must remain united.

Bhagwat said that Hindus around the world should provide all possible assistance to Hindus living in Bangladesh. He clarified that India is providing as much assistance as possible within its borders and will continue to do so. He said, "India is the only nation for Hindus. Therefore, the Indian government must take cognizance of this matter. The government may already be taking some steps, but many things cannot be made public. Whether results are immediate or not, something needs to be done."

The RSS chief said that if Hindu society stands united, it won't take long for the situation in Bengal to change. However, he also clarified that it is not his job to think about political change. He said, "The Sangh works for social change, not political change."

Addressing the RSS centenary celebrations, Mohan Bhagwat addressed the event held at the Science City auditorium, which marked the RSS's centenary celebrations. He said that misleading campaigns have spread misconceptions about the RSS among a segment of society. He said that the RSS has no enemies, but the narrow self-interests of some individuals are affected by the organization's expansion.

Bhagwat said that anyone has the right to form an opinion about the RSS, but that opinion should be based on facts and reality, not rumors or secondary sources. He informed that lectures and dialogue sessions have been organized in four major cities across the country to present the reality to the public. He reiterated that the RSS has no political agenda and that the organization's purpose is to promote the welfare, protection, and social unity of Hindu society.
