Shocking Robbery in VVIP Area: ATS IG Targeted, Criminals Escape with Sensitive Phone

Bhopal (The Uttam Hindu): A sensational incident has shaken the capital of Madhya Pradesh, raising serious questions about law and order and security protocols in the state. Late Tuesday night, in one of the four most secure VVIP areas of Bhopal, daring bike-riding criminals targeted ATS and Intelligence IG Dr. Ashish, snatching two of his mobile phones and fleeing the scene.

The incident occurred around 10 PM when the senior IPS officer, Dr. Ashish, was taking a walk with his wife after dinner. Sources revealed that one of the stolen phones contained highly sensitive and confidential information, triggering alarm across security agencies.

Immediately after the robbery, police took action and recovered one phone near the spot within about 20 minutes. It is believed that the thieves discarded it after seeing the advanced security features. However, the second phone, suspected to contain critical intelligence inputs, remains missing.

Technical investigation and tracking revealed that the second phone’s last location was in the Kolar Guest House area before it was switched off. The robbery involving a top intelligence officer and the disappearance of a phone containing sensitive information has created turmoil within the police department. Considering the gravity of the matter, authorities have formed a special team to conduct an intensive search for the culprits and the missing phone.
