Shockwaves in Telangana: Firebrand Leader T Raja Singh Resigns from BJP, Cites This Reason
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh in Telangana has resigned from BJP. It is being told that T Raja Singh wanted to contest for the post of Telangana BJP President. He has sent his resignation to Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy. T Raja Singh has resigned from the primary membership of the party citing shock and disappointment.
He has taken this decision after the new name came out as Telangana BJP President. The high command has agreed on the name of N Ramachandra Rao for the post of state BJP president. Angered by this, T Raja Singh has sent his resignation to the current state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar. Along with the announcement of resignation from BJP, T Raja Singh has shared two letters on the social media platform X. Sharing these two letters, T Raja Singh said, 'The silence of many people should not be considered as consent. I am speaking not only for myself, but for those countless workers and voters. Who stood with us with faith and who are feeling disappointed today.'
In the letter written by T Raja Singh along with the announcement of his resignation from the party, he said, 'Even though I am leaving the party, I am fully committed to the ideology of Hindutva and to serve our religion and the people of Goshamahal. I will continue to raise my voice and stand even more strongly with the Hindu community.' T Raja Singh further wrote in the letter, 'This is a difficult decision, but a necessary one. The silence of many people should not be considered consent. I am speaking not just for myself, but for the countless workers and voters who stood with us with faith and who are feeling disappointed today.'
Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh said, 'I also humbly appeal to our senior leadership - Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, BJP National President JP Nadda Ji, Amit Shah Ji and BL Santosh Ji to reconsider this course. Telangana is ready for BJP, but we must choose the right leadership to respect that opportunity and not let it slip away.' At the end of the letter, T Raja Singh has ended his speech with the slogan 'Jai Hind. Jai Shri Ram'.
