Three Killed, Four Injured as Car Overturns While Returning from Shirdi Sai Baba Temple

Nashik (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic accident occurred involving devotees traveling to visit Shirdi Sai Baba. The incident claimed three lives, while four others were injured. The accident took place near Erandgaon Raite Shivrat area in Yeola taluka of Nashik, when a car carrying devotees returning from Shirdi lost control and overturned. Two people died on the spot, while five others sustained serious injuries.

Upon receiving the information, locals and police rushed to the scene and immediately shifted the injured to a hospital in Nashik. However, one of the critically injured victims died on the way, raising the death toll to three. The remaining four injured persons are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Nashik. According to local police, the Toyota Fortuner lost control and flipped over. CCTV footage from nearby areas is being reviewed to determine the cause of the accident.

Earlier, on October 18, another major road accident occurred in Washim district of Maharashtra, where three Myanmar nationals died on the spot and three others were severely injured. The accident took place near Dawha, under Jaulka Police Station, on the Samruddhi Expressway. The victims were traveling in an Innova car from Mumbai to Jagannath Puri in Odisha for pilgrimage.

The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle due to over-speeding, causing it to crash into a road divider. The impact was so severe that the front portion of the car was completely damaged. Initial investigations cited high speed and driver negligence as the primary reasons behind the mishap.
