TMC MP Mahua Moitra Moves Supreme Court Against Election Commission Order

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): TMC MP Mahua Moitra has approached the Supreme Court against the Election Commission. Mahua Moitra has challenged the ECI's order which talks about special intensive revision of the voter list in Bihar.


TMC MP Mahua Moitra knocked the door of Supreme Court against the Election Commission, challenged this order: The petition demands that the Supreme Court immediately stop this order and direct the ECI not to issue any such order in the rest of the states of the country. Mahua Moitra alleges that this order is arbitrary, unconstitutional and excludes the poor, women and migrant voters from the voting process.


Recently, Mahua Moitra was in the news when she married former BJD MP and senior lawyer Pinaki Mishra in Berlin. Apart from this, she was also in the news when Kalyan Banerjee made a personal comment on Mahua Moitra and said a lot of things which are controversial. Banerjee said that Mahua Moitra had just got married and went on a honeymoon and soon returned from her honeymoon and as soon as she came, she attacked me. He also accused Mahua of "breaking a family". Mahua Moitra is an Indian politician and a prominent leader of the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC). She is a Member of Parliament from Krishnanagar Lok Sabha constituency of West Bengal.
