Deputy CM Ajit Pawar killed in plane crash during landing in Baramati
Baramati (The Uttam Hindu): Shocking reports emerging from Maharashtra on Wednesday morning claim that Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar have lost his life in a plane accident in Baramati. According to preliminary information circulating locally, a private chartered aircraft carrying Ajit Pawar allegedly crashed while attempting to land at the Baramati airstrip.
As per these reports, the aircraft reportedly skidded off the runway during landing and crashed with severe impact. It is being claimed that all six people on board have died in the incident. Sources further allege that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has been informed, though no official confirmation has been issued so far.
Aircraft reportedly caught fire after crash
According to eyewitness claims, the impact was extremely severe and the aircraft reportedly caught fire immediately after the crash, turning into a fireball within minutes. Videos and images circulating on social media show burnt wreckage and heavy smoke at the crash site, though their authenticity has not been independently verified.
Security personnel and staff reportedly on board
Unverified inputs suggest that Ajit Pawar was travelling with his personal assistant, security personnel, and flight crew. Initial claims stated that the occupants were critically injured, but later reports alleged that the intensity of the fire left no survivors.
