Dehradun (The Uttam Hindu): A woman police employee in Uttarakhand has stirred serious concerns by writing a letter to the President of India, seeking permission for euthanasia. In her emotional appeal, the fourth-class employee alleged that she was exploited by a senior officer within the police department.

According to her letter, when she attempted to raise her voice and file a complaint, her plea was ignored. Instead of action being taken against the accused, she was allegedly sent to jail in retaliation. After being released, she claimed that several officers from the department came to her home and mentally harassed her further.

The woman stated that she reached out to various senior officials, including the Director General of Police, but her complaints were repeatedly ignored and no action was taken.

In her letter to the President, she has demanded either strict action against the accused officer or permission to end her life, citing unbearable mental torture and injustice. The case has sparked outrage and raised serious questions about internal accountability within the police department.
