PM Modi conducts aerial survey of flood-hit Himachal, meets victims on ground

Shimla (The Uttam Hindu)- Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that his government stands unite with the people affected by the recent floods and landslides. PM Modi conducted an aerial survey of the damage in Kullu, Mandi and Chamba in Himachal by helicopter. After this, he held a meeting regarding the disaster in Dharamshala.

During this, the officials informed PM Modi about the damage caused in the state. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu was also present in the meeting. After the meeting with the officials, PM Modi met 18 affected people of Mandi, Kullu and Chamba districts and understood their pain. During this, the PM also met one-year-old girl Nitika, whose mother, father and grandmother died after being swept away in the flood after cloudburst in Mandi.

Prime Minister Modi will visit Gurdaspur in Punjab this evening. Where he will meet the people affected by the floods and listen to their problems.
