Fatehgarh Sahib (The Uttam Hindu): Ahead of the Shaheedi Sabha, Special Director General of Police (Law and Order) Arpit Shukla on Tuesday reviewed the security and administrative arrangements in Fatehgarh Sahib. The three-day annual Shaheedi Sabha will be held from December 25 to December 27, 2025, to pay tribute to the supreme sacrifice of Sahibzada Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, the younger sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
The entire area has been systematically divided into six sectors. To ensure security, smooth movement and essential facilities for lakhs of devotees arriving from across the world, more than 3,400 police personnel have been deployed under the supervision of six Superintendents of Police and 24 Deputy Superintendents of Police.
Special DGP Arpit Shukla, accompanied by DIG Ropar Range Nanak Singh and SSP Fatehgarh Sahib Shubham Aggarwal, directed all deployed officers to perform their duties with full dedication to ensure foolproof security arrangements. While reviewing the preparations, he said that 22 parking slots have been arranged for devotees, along with shuttle bus services between parking areas and Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib.
For smooth traffic management and minimum inconvenience to devotees, police have implemented real-time geo-tagging of parking areas in collaboration with Google and installed directional signboards for guidance. To assist devotees, six help desks have been set up, including police assistance, medical aid and firefighting facilities. An integrated control room has also been established.
The Special DGP further stated that six drones and around 300 CCTV cameras are being used to monitor traffic, parking arrangements and keep a close watch on anti-social elements. Additionally, as a road safety initiative to prevent fog-related accidents, police teams will install reflective stickers on tractor-trolleys.
