Chandigarh(The Uttam Hindu): Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and National Media Incharge Anurag Dhanda launched a scathing attack on the BJP government in Haryana on Saturday. He said that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini released the first installment of the Deen Dayal Lado Laxmi Yojana in Panchkula amid a large stage and cameras, but this is the biggest electoral betrayal of women.

Anurag Dhanda said that before the elections, the BJP promised to give ₹2,100 per month to every woman in Haryana. However, now that the scheme has been launched, the reality is that only 3.73 percent of the 14 million women have received the money. This means that 96.27 percent of women have been duped. The BJP promised "every woman," but now the BJP government is deliberately imposing "every condition."

Dhanda said that the government has imposed such conditions that most women are automatically excluded. Family income must be less than ₹1 lakh, age must be above 23 years, and if a woman's husband is from outside Haryana or someone in the family is already receiving a pension, they are also excluded from the scheme. Girls from poor families, college-going young women, new daughters-in-law, and widows were all excluded.

He said that the Chief Minister posed for photographs from the stage to show that the government was empowering women, but the truth is that this is not a scheme, but a joke on women. The BJP has not empowered women, but insulted them. This isn't the "Laado Laxmi" scheme, but the "Luto Laxmi scheme," where promises were made for crores, but the benefits were given to a few thousand people.

Dhanda said that the BJP doesn't see the suffering of women; it's only concerned with its own publicity. The Chief Minister has time for campaigning, but has no intention, policy, or desire for ordinary women. He said, "Women will no longer fall for the BJP's false promises. They've seen it all—the stage, the speeches, and the game of lies."

The Aam Aadmi Party says that the women of Haryana trusted the BJP, but in return, they received only deceit, betrayal, and humiliation. The public has now understood this and will give the BJP a befitting reply in the upcoming elections. Anurag Dhanda said, "The BJP will now have to account not for ₹2,100, but for every vote of women. The daughters of Haryana will no longer remain silent; they will fight for their rights."
