AAP Protests in Lambi Against SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal for Sharing Doctored Video of AAP Leader

Sri Muktsar Sahib (Lambi)(The Uttam Hindu) : The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday held a protest in Badal village of Lambi constituency in Sri Muktsar Sahib district against Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal for sharing an edited and doctored video on his social media with the intent to mislead the public and hurt religious sentiments.

The protest was led by AAP MLA Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar and AAP District President Jashan Brar. A large number of AAP leaders and workers participated in the demonstration, raising slogans against the SAD leadership and condemning what they termed as irresponsible and propagating BJP's divisive politics.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar said that after repeatedly being rejected by the people of Punjab, Sukhbir Singh Badal is once again trying to poison the political atmosphere by spreading falsehoods. “It is shameful that SAD President shared a doctored video to hurt sentiments of Sikhs without verifying the said video. In its desperation for power, it has not spared religion, caste or even our revered Gurus. Sharing edited videos to mislead people is a shameful act and reflects the bankruptcy of SAD’s politics,” Kaka Brar said.

He added that the Bhagwant Mann-led AAP government has been delivering on its promises, which is why the opposition is rattled. “They have no answer to our government’s work on education, health, law and order and employment. That is why they are trying to divert attention by spreading lies and creating controversies,” he said.

AAP District President Jashan Brar also condemned the act and said that the people of Punjab are fully aware of the true face of the BJP and Akali Dal and will not fall prey to such propaganda.
