Shery Kalsi Exposes Sirsa's Hypocrisy: Golak Thief, OSD to Those Who Pushed Punjab into Drug Menace, Taking Shelter in BJP Out of Fear, But Preaching Honesty in Punjab?

Ludhiana(The Uttam Hindu): AAP Punjab Working President Shery Kalsi has hit back strongly at BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa over his false accusations against the Aam Aadmi Party and the Punjab government. Taking Sirsa to task, Kalsi remarked, “I had heard that politicians lie, but this is the first time I’ve seen someone speak such blatant and naked lies.”

Shery Kalsi said that Sirsa’s statement during a press conference, claiming that drugs are being delivered door-to-door in Punjab because of the Aam Aadmi Party, is an outright lie and a shameful remark. He reminded Sirsa that before 2007, no one in Punjab had even heard of “chitta” (synthetic drug), and from 2007 to 2017, it was the BJP-Akali Dal government that ruled Punjab.

Kalsi said that it was during this decade that Punjab was systematically pushed into the quagmire of drugs. Instead of providing employment to the youth, syringes of drugs were handed to them, and drug traffickers were given political protection.

Kalsi reminded Sirsa that he himself served as the OSD to Sukhbir Singh Badal, if anyone is responsible for the spread of drugs in Punjab, it is that very government and the people who were part of it.

Kalsi questioned Sirsa, asking, “As an OSD, what did you do for Punjab? Tell us, Sirsa Sahib, what was your contribution to Punjab at that time? The public remembers everything. There are also allegations of scams involving the Guru’s Golaks (offerings) against you. And now you are preaching honesty to us?”

Kalsi also questioned Sirsa’s intentions when speaking about Punjab, stating that a leader who grew up in Haryana and resides in Delhi has no understanding of Punjab’s soil or its pain.

Shery Kalsi emphasized that today, people can see how the Aam Aadmi Party’s government is transforming schools in Punjab, providing jobs to youth without recommendations or bribes, and benefiting citizens with 300 units of free electricity. Hence, lies from leaders like Sirsa will no longer be influencing the public.
