Amidst tension at border, Jalandhar Model Town Shopkeepers Association performs havan for peace and prosperity
Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): Amidst ongoing tension on the India-Pakistan border, the local Model Town Shopkeepers association along with Geeta Mandir Management Committee Model Town today performed Havan for peace, progress and prosperity of the state.
The President of shopkeepers association Rajiv Duggal, Chairman Lakhbir Singh Lally Ghuman, Vice Chairman Sukhbir Singh Sukhi, Vice President Ramesh Lakhanpal, Advisor Anantpreet Singh Robin and Monu Mehta, President Geeta Mandir Vijay Khullar and others, performed Havan in Geeta Mandir. They said that Punjabis have always been on forefront to safeguard the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the country. These leaders unequivocally said that the brave hearts of the state have always made and ever ready to make supreme sacrifices for this noble cause.
However, these social and religious leaders prayed that Punjab is a border state and full fledged war can jeopardize its development and prosperity. So they prayed that peace should prevail in the region so that Punjab continues to lead the nation in every sphere. They said that the havan will be performed regularly till the danger of war is over.
