Tarn Taran (The Uttam Hindu): The Shiromani Akali Dal suffered another major setback in Tarn Taran while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) gained further strength as prominent Akali leader Jasandeep Singh from village Mannan Diyaan Bahkan, along with his entire family, joined AAP, leaving his former party behind.

AAP candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu warmly welcomed Jasandeep Singh and his family into the party and said that their joining reflects the growing popularity of the Aam Aadmi Party and the people’s faith in the welfare-oriented governance of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

Sandhu added that the inclusion of honest and socially committed leaders like Jasandeep Singh will further strengthen AAP’s prospects in the Tarn Taran constituency. He emphasized that AAP’s politics is based on service and integrity and assured that the party will never break the trust of the people.
