Big Blow to Akali Dal in Nakodar! Hundreds of Akali Workers Including MCs and Many Social Workers Join AAP
Chandigarh/Nakodar (The Uttam Hindu): Akali Dal suffered a big setback in Nakodar. Hundreds of MCs and workers of the party joined the Aam Aadmi Party on Tuesday. In addition, many prominent social workers of the constituency also joined AAP.
AAP Punjab President Aman Arora formally inducted all the leaders into the party and welcomed them. MLA from Nakodar, Inderjit Kaur Mann, was also present on the occasion.
Among the leaders who joined AAP were Rajeev Misra, MC Nagar Council Nurmahal and President Nurmahal Chhinjh Committee, Chairman Lions Club; Prem Kumar (Raju), President Doaba Zone SC Wing Shiromani Akali Dal; Sanchu Wadhwa, President Lions Club Nurmahal and prominent social worker; Sandeep Kumar Mittu, Nurmahal; Sanjeev Verma; Rajneesh Babbar, former President SOI Youth Akali Dal and President Khalsa College Youth Wing; Shivam Setia; Jasvir Singh Uppal, present Panch; Hari Dev Khosla; Prahlad Sharma, senior leader, Youth Akali Dal; Manish Kumar Nair, social worker; and Sonu Uppal, senior Akali leader, are prominent names.
Welcoming all the leaders into the party, Arora said that the Aam Aadmi Party government is committed to the all-round development of Nakodar. He said that influenced by the policies of the party and the work done during the past three years of AAP’s government, hundreds of people are joining the party daily and strengthening it at the grassroots level in Punjab.
