'I'm in Danger': Bikram Majithia's Court Plea for Protection, Made this Demand for Safety

Mohali (The Uttam Hindu): Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia, who is lodged in Nabha jail in the disproportionate assets case, has expressed concern about his safety. He said that he is in danger in the jail.

Bikram Singh Majithia has filed a petition in the court. In this petition, he has appealed that he is in danger in Nabha jail. He should be given a separate barrack in which he can live. The petition has been filed in Mohali court by his lawyers. Now the hearing in this case will be held on 14th July. Bikramjit Singh Majithia is in judicial custody for 14 days as per the court order. In this, a notice has been sent to the government lawyer in the court and a reply has been sought in this matter. The court will decide whether Bikramjit Singh should be kept in a separate barrack or not. This case has been filed against Bikramjit Singh Majithia by the Vigilance Bureau.

Bikramjit Singh Majithia has been accused of acquiring assets disproportionate to his income while being a minister. In this case, the vigilance has conducted investigations in many other states including Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
