No Relief for Bikram Majithia: Barrack Unchanged, Bail Denied

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): Senior SAD leader and former cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majithia does not seem to be getting any relief at the moment. His bail and pleas for change of barrack in jail were heard in Mohali court today, but no decision could be taken.

With this, the court has postponed Majithia's barrack transfer application, which was listed for today, till August 12. Last Saturday, Majithia appeared through video conferencing from Nabha jail. His previous 14-day custody period had been completed. After this, the court heard the case and ordered to send him to further judicial custody. It is worth noting that Bikram Singh Majithia is currently lodged in Nabha jail in a serious case related to disproportionate assets.
