Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): After the vigilance action on former Punjab minister and SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia, the politics of Punjab has heated up. Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal tweeted that the Akali Dal stands firmly with Bikram Singh Majithia. It is clear that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP are shocked by Majithia's firm approach to marginalize the government and expose its corrupt and unethical activities. We are not going to be intimidated by the ruthless efforts of Majithia and other Akali leaders to suppress the voice of the people. He said that this is not the first time that political vendetta has been launched against the Akali leadership. We will fight it strongly. He further said that filing false cases is a criminal act. The officers should know that all such false cases and acts of repression committed during the tenure of this government will definitely be investigated at the appropriate time. I urge the police personnel not to break the law.

Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu said that Bhagwant Mann's misuse of vigilance shows very cheap politics. What Congress did by imposing emergency, Bhagwant Mann has done the same in Punjab. He said that any leader who questions the failure of Mann or the government, an attempt is made to silence him by threatening him. Bhagwant Mann, the thorns you are sowing for the people of Punjab, you are sowing those thorns yourself, but the thorns you are sowing in your personal life will be difficult to remove after 2027. Bikram Majithia attacked the Aam Aadmi Party government and said that I had told long ago that when the Bhagwant Mann government did not find anything in the false drug case against me, now it is preparing to register a new false case against me. Majithia has shared a post on X.
