Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): The 4-day remand of former minister Bikram Singh Majithia, arrested in the disproportionate assets case in Punjab, is ending today. The Vigilance Bureau will present him in Mohali court today. According to information received from sources, the Vigilance may demand a few more days of remand. Let us tell you that Bikram Majithia is in the custody of the Vigilance since June 26.


On the other hand, in connection with the investigation, the Vigilance team reached Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday with Majithia. Here the Saraiya distillery of Majithia family was investigated. It has been learned that many important facts have come to light in the investigation, which require further investigation. On this basis, additional remand will be sought from the court today.

Meanwhile, senior Akali Dal leader and advocate Arshdeep Singh Kaler has warned Aam Aadmi Party ministers, representatives and some media channels of legal action. Kaler said that those who spread fabricated and false stories against Majithia will have to answer in court. A video has also been shared on Majithia's social media account in this regard.
