Blazing wrath from the sky: Temperature reaches 45 degree in Punjab
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) - The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave warning for Punjab for three days. According to the department, heat will trouble not only during the day but also at night and the temperature in the state is likely to remain much higher than normal. With this, the situation in the state is said to be normal from June 12. The average maximum temperature of the state has increased by 2.5 degrees Celsius, which is 3.5 degrees Celsius higher than normal. The highest temperature has been recorded in Bathinda at 44.8 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature has also increased by 1.2 degrees Celsius, which is 3 degrees Celsius above normal. Today the temperature in Punjab can cross 45 degrees. On June 9, an orange alert has been issued in Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, Mohali, Patiala, Sangrur, Barnala, Bathinda, Faridkot and Muktsar districts. Along with this, a yellow alert has been issued in Ludhiana, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Mansa, Bathinda and Moga.
