Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Will Pay Obeisance at Gurdwara Sri Sees Ganj Sahib Tomorrow
Samagams To Commemorate the 350th Shaheedi Purab of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji Will Commence
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government to commence a month-long series of events dedicated to the 350th Shaheedi Purab tomorrow
Shaheedi commemorations to begin with a Kirtan Darbar at Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib
Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): A month-long series of commemorative events dedicated to the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of ‘Hind Di Chadar’, the supreme martyr, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, will commence tomorrow, October 25, from the sacred sites located in the national capital, Delhi. These events are being organized by the Punjab Government with utmost devotion, reverence, and adherence to Gur Maryada (Sikh religious code).
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will pay obeisance tomorrow morning at Gurdwara Sri Sees Ganj Sahib, and will also pay homage at the martyrdom sites of Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, and Bhai Dayala Ji, who attained supreme martyrdom alongside Guru Sahib.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will be accompanied by other Ministers of the Punjab Cabinet. The Chief Minister, Cabinet members and other leaders will present Rumala Sahib and participate in the Ardas (prayer) for the well-being of all (Sarbat da Bhala), which will be held at 11:00 AM.
After bowing his head at Gurdwara Sahib, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will visit the nearby martyrdom sites of the great Sikh martyrs, Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, and Bhai Dayala ji, who sacrificed their lives for the protection of faith. There, the Chief Minister and the entire Cabinet will offer floral tributes and perform Ardas in their memory.
The formal commencement of these month-long commemorative events will take place tomorrow evening at 6 PM with a special Kirtan Samagam at Gurdwara Sri Rakab Ganj Sahib, Delhi.
Under the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government will observe these Shaheedi commemorations from October 25 to November 25 with full devotion and reverence. During this period, four grand Nagar Kirtans will be organized, one from Srinagar and the remaining three from different parts of Punjab.
These commemorative events will conclude with grand religious congregations at the birthplace of the Khalsa, Sri Anandpur Sahib, on November 23, 24, and 25. The Chief Minister has issued clear instructions that all events must be conducted with utmost decorum and respect, ensuring that the divine message of Guru Sahib’s unparalleled sacrifice reaches across the world.
