CM Mann questions Jathedar's reason: 'I had no other program that day

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu) : Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has tweeted about the change in the time for giving clarifications at Sri Akal Takht Sahib. He said, "Respected Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib Ji, I have no other engagements on January 15th. I have also informed the Honorable President's office that, as per your orders, January 15th is completely dedicated to Sri Akal Takht Sahib. No official letter or statement has been issued by me or the office regarding the change in time. I humbly agree to be present on January 15th at 10:00 AM... Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh." Previously, as per the orders of Acting Jathedar Singh Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh Gadgaj of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the time for giving clarifications has been changed from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM due to his scheduled engagements that day.

A controversy has erupted over Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's scheduled appearance before the Akal Takht in Amritsar on January 15. The Akal Takht Secretariat issued a statement this morning, rescheduling the appearance.
