Congress Woes Deepens: Key Associate of Ashu from Ludhiana West Joins Aam Aadmi Party
Ludhiana(The Uttam Hindu): The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) got significant boost today before the Ludhiana West Assembly by-election, while the Congress Party suffered yet another major setback. On Tuesday, Lucky Bansal, a close associate of Congress candidate Bharat Bhushan Ashu from Ward No. 63 in Ludhiana, joined the Aam Aadmi Party along with his associates.
AAP Punjab Working President Amansher Singh Shery Kalsi, in the presence of the party's MLAs Ashok Parashar Pappi, Kuljit Randhawa, Kulwant Sidhu, AAP leader Sharanpal Makkar, and other party officials, formally inducted the new leaders into the party and welcomed them.
Along with Lucky Bansal, his associates Kapil Gupta, Sonia Gupta, Sonu Nagpal, Kapila, Dr. Siddharth, and about dezen other supporters joined the party.
Addressing the media on the occasion, Shery Kalsi stated that all these individuals had decided to join the Aam Aadmi Party due to their dissatisfaction with the behavior and working style of Congress leader Bharat Bhushan Ashu.
He thanked the AAP councilor from Ward No. 63 and all Ludhiana MLAs of the party, whose hard work made this possible. Kalsi said that, like the rest of Punjab, the people of Ludhiana are also very pleased with the AAP government's initiative of providing 600 units of free electricity to all families. Hence, the people here are highly enthusiastic about ensuring the victory of AAP candidate Sanjeev Arora in this election.
