Harmeet Singh Sandhu vows to serve people of Tarn Taran, says AAP has given him a new platform to work for public good

Tarn Taran(The Uttam Hindu): Aam Aadmi Party candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu today addressed massive rallies in Mianpur, Palasaur, and Gandiwind, where he received an enthusiastic response from local residents. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is personally leading AAP’s campaign in Tarn Taran, further energizing the election atmosphere in the constituency.

Speaking to the people, Sandhu said he entered politics only to serve the public and raise their issues honestly. “I was in the Akali Dal, but that party stopped caring about people’s voice. I repeatedly told them during working committee meetings that they were drifting away from the people. When they refused to listen, I chose to step aside,” he said.

Sandhu added that AAP has given him a new opportunity to work for the welfare of Tarn Taran’s people. “I will always stand by what benefits Tarn Taran. For me, people come before politics,” he said.

Appreciating the Bhagwant Mann government’s decision to give legal ownership rights to residents living within the Lal Lakeer, Sandhu said, “This historic step has solved long-pending problems of thousands of families. Earlier, they couldn’t even get compensation after their homes were damaged in rains. Now, they are rightful owners of their homes.”

He urged voters to support AAP for a clean, people-centric government that truly listens and delivers. He said that the people of this constituency trusted the AAP and Late Dr Kashmir Singh in 2022 but destiny had other plans. "But we are not going to let our constituency fall behind, we will strengthen the Mann Government and I'll address all issues of Tarn Taran on priority basis," added Sandhu.
