BHOLATH (The Uttam Hindu): Harsimran Singh Ghuman, leading political contender for the Bholath constituency, has launched a scathing attack on sitting MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira, accusing him of exploiting his position for personal gain while masquerading as a "crusader for honesty."

1. The Village Encroachment: "Voters' Rights vs. MLA’s Luxury"

Ghuman has exposed that MLA Khaira has allegedly encroached upon a public village street in Bholath, illegally converting it into a private parking facility.

"It is a disgrace that a man who spends his days lecturing the state on transparency is spending his nights grabbing land from his own constituents," said Ghuman. "By blocking a public thoroughfare to park his personal fleet, he has shown that he views the people of Bholath not as his masters, but as subjects. I challenge Mr. Khaira: if you are as honest as you claim, demolish this illegal structure today and return the road to the villagers or government will.

2. The Chandigarh Mansion: A Question of Means

The challenge extended beyond Bholath to the MLA’s high-profile lifestyle in the state capital. Ghuman demanded an immediate financial disclosure regarding Khaira’s palatial residence in Sector 5, Chandigarh.

* Attachment by ED: It is a matter of record that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) provisionally attached this property, linking it to alleged "proceeds of crime."

* Asset Discrepancy: While market valuations of such properties in Sector 5 are estimated at nearly ₹100 Crore, the MLA’s explanations regarding the funding of this estate remain murky.

"The people of Bholath live in humble homes, yet their representative lives in a mansion currently under seizure by federal agencies," Ghuman remarked. "Mr. Khaira must explain to the voters: how did a self-proclaimed 'man of the people' amass the wealth to acquire a ₹100-crore asset? Integrity is not a performance for Facebook; it is about how you acquire your wealth and how you treat your neighbors." How could a person gives lessons to whole Punjab who himself stooped to the extent that he made money even from unclaimed land of allottees who died during India Pakistan Partition riots.

Open Challenge to MLA Sukhpal Khaira: Answer the People of Bholath!

* On Land Grabbing: If you are a champion of the law, why have you illegally encroached upon a public village street of Ramgarh to build a private parking space for your vehicles? Is public land your personal fiefdom?

* On Equality: You often talk about "Zero Tolerance" for corruption. Does this rule not apply to you when you block a common road used by elders for your own convenience?

* On the Sector 5 Mansion: Your Sector 5, Chandigarh house (H.No. 6) has been provisionally attached by the ED as "proceeds of crime." If you are honest, why is the government seizing your home?

* On Source of Wealth: You have declared assets worth over ₹50 Crore. Can you explain to the poor farmers of Bholath how a "servant of the people" amasses such wealth while claiming to have no business interests?

* On the Drug Case Link: The ED alleges you received ₹3.82 Crore in cash from an international drug syndicate for "protection." Is this the "honesty" you brag about in your Facebook videos?

* On Election Funding: It is alleged that drug money funded your election campaigns. Will you release a white paper on every rupee spent on your luxury rallies and convoys?

* On Luxury vs. Reality: While the streets in Bholath remain broken, you live in a mansion built on 22,000 sq. ft. in Chandigarh’s most expensive sector. How many of your voters even have 2,000 sq. ft. of land?

* On Political Vendetta: Every time you are caught, you cry "Political Vendetta." Is the physical encroachment on our village street also a "vendetta," or is it just your habit of bullying the local public?

* On Moral Authority: With a criminal trial and property attachments hanging over your head, what moral right do you have to question the integrity of any other politician?

* I challenge you to a public debate at the site of the encroached street. Bring your property papers and your conscience. Will you come, or will you just hide behind a selfie camera?

Call to Action

Adv Harsimran Ghuman has called upon the District Administration and the Punjab Vigilance Bureau to:

* Conduct an immediate measurement of the village street and remove all illegal encroachments by the MLA.

* Investigate the source of funds for the MLA's recent property developments to ensure no public or illicit funds were utilized.

"Bholath deserves a leader whose actions match his words. The era of double standards and 'VIP' land grabbing ends now," Harsimran Ghuman concluded.
