Bajwa Developers' MD Jarnail Singh Bajwa Gets 3 Years for Cheating in Housing Project

Mohali (The Uttam Hindu): A Kharar court has sentenced Bajwa Developers Managing Director Jarnail Singh Bajwa to three years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of ₹10,000 in a cheating case linked to a housing project.

The case pertains to alleged irregularities in a housing scheme connected with the Government Officials Welfare Organisation (GOWO) and IA Housing Solutions Private Limited (IAHSPL). After examining the evidence, the court found the accused guilty of misleading buyers and failing to deliver on commitments made under the project.

The verdict comes after prolonged legal proceedings and highlights growing concerns over accountability in the real estate sector. Authorities stated that such actions serve as a warning to developers indulging in fraudulent practices.
