Major boost to AAP candidate Harmeet Sandhu’s campaign, several Congress families from village Sohal join AAP
Tarn Taran(The Uttam Hindu): Ahead of the by-election in Tarn Taran Assembly constituency, the Congress Party suffered a major political setback today when dozens of families from village Sohal of the constituency announced their decision to leave Congress and join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
AAP candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu warmly welcomed all these families into the party. During the ceremony held in village Sohal, active leaders and members of the Congress Party expressed their faith in AAP’s policies. Those who joined the party included mainly Jaginder Singh, Kabil Singh, Hardev Singh, Baldev Singh, Balwinder Singh, Avtar Singh Kala, Amar Singh, Amrik Singh, Partap Singh, Harmanpreet Singh, Sukhpreet Singh, and contractor Arjun Singh along with their associates, who became part of the AAP family.
Speaking on the occasion, Harmeet Singh Sandhu said that the joining of these families has given great strength to the party in village Sohal and across the entire constituency. He said that people are completely fed up with the policies of traditional parties and are joining the Aam Aadmi Party being inspired by the pro-people works of the AAP government. He assured that every leader and worker joining the party will be given full respect and recognition.
