Rain Warning: Punjab's Weather to Change Dramatically from July 21, Alerts Issued

Chandigarh(The Uttam Hindu):  Punjab is bracing for heavy rainfall from July 21 to 23, with the Meteorological Department issuing red and orange alerts for several districts. Although the monsoon has been sluggish in July, with less than normal rainfall recorded, the weather is expected to change significantly during this period.

Weather Forecast:

1. Heavy Rainfall: Expected from July 21 to 23, with red and orange alerts issued for multiple districts.

2. Normal Weather: No alerts have been issued for the next 72 hours, from July 18 to 20, but some areas may experience cloud cover.

3. Temperature: The state's temperature has dropped by 1.2 degrees, with Sri Anandpur Sahib recording the highest temperature at 36.2 degrees Celsius.

 

The monsoon has become weak in July compared to June, with some areas experiencing rain only on certain days.

 Farmers are advised to stay alert for potential crop damage and disruption of daily life due to heavy rainfall.

Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during the heavy rainfall period.
