Punjab Police Foil Major Terror Plot: Accused Arrested with 4 Hand Grenades, 2 kg RDX

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): Punjab Police has taken a big action and has shown strictness against terrorism and organized crime. Punjab Police DGP said that Batala Police has exposed a terrorist module.

Police have recovered 4 hand grenades, IED made of 2 kg RDX and communication equipment from Balpura village of Batala. Initial investigation has revealed that this consignment was kept on the instructions of UK-based Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist Nishan Singh alias Nishan Jodia. It is being told that he was working at the behest of Pakistan-based terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda, who is protected by Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI. One accused has been arrested in this case, while the other is absconding. Police is continuously conducting raids in search of him. The DGP said that the investigation is going on and this entire cross-border terrorist conspiracy will be exposed.

Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav told 'X' post, "In a major breakthrough, Batala Police foiled a terror module by recovering 4 hand grenades (SPL HGR-84), 1 RDX-based IED (2 kg), and communication equipment from Balpora village of Batala. Preliminary investigation revealed that the consignment was placed on the instructions of UK-based BKI terrorist Nishan Singh alias Nishan Jodia, who was acting on the instructions of Pakistan-based terrorist Harwinder Singh Rinda, who is supported by Pakistan's ISI."

The DGP further said that one of the accused has been arrested, while the other is absconding, and efforts are on to nab him. Punjab Police is committed to neutralise the terror module and ensure peace and harmony in Punjab. Earlier, the DGP informed about another major success and said that Barnala Police has arrested four active members of Devinder Bambiha Gang. The arrested accused have been identified as Satnam Singh alias Satti, Gurpreet alias Gurri, Sarm Singh alias Rinku and Deepak Singh. All of them were planning a big robbery. According to the police, during an operation, when the police party tried to stop the accused, they started firing. But the policemen showed courage and not only overpowered the attackers but also arrested them along with the vehicle. Weapons have also been recovered from the accused.
