Punjab Police's Big Catch: 27 Pistols, 470 Cartridges Seized from Smugglers

Chandigarh( The Uttam Hindu): The Punjab Police has successfully seized a large consignment of arms smuggled from Pakistan in the Fazilka area. Two smugglers, identified as Mangal Singh alias Mangali and Gurmeet Singh, were arrested and 27 pistols along with 470 cartridges were recovered. The police are now working to expose the entire network and identify all the involved members.

The arrested accused have revealed that they were in contact with foreign handlers and were trying to deliver these weapons to local members of criminal gangs. Further investigation is being carried out to ascertain the intended recipients of these arms.
