Punjab tragedy: Financier kills wife, two daughters, self in Ferozepur shooting

 Ferozepur (The Uttam Hindu): A heartbreaking news has emerged from Ferozepur, Punjab. A happy family in the city's Harman Nagar area met a tragic end. Financier and salon owner Mahi Sodhi (Amandeep Singh) shot his wife and two innocent daughters to death and then committed suicide. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police administration was shaken. The police have taken possession of all four bodies and begun an investigation.

The incident came to light when the house cleaner arrived in the morning. She knocked on the door and called out for a long time, but there was no movement from inside. Panicked, she informed the tenant living on the upper floor. The tenant even called Mahi, the doorbell kept ringing inside but no one answered the phone. Fearing something untoward or gas poisoning, the tenant and neighbor Karanjit Singh broke the door and were shocked to see the scene inside. In the bedroom lay the blood-soaked bodies of Amandeep, his wife Jasveer Kaur, 10-year-old daughter Manveer and 6-year-old daughter Parneet.

Upon receiving information about the incident, SSP Bhupinder Singh arrived at the scene with a police force. Police have also recovered the pistol from the scene that fired the shots. SSP Bhupinder Singh stated that the case is being investigated from every angle. CCTV cameras are installed inside the house, and the police are examining their footage. This will clarify how the incident unfolded and whether Mahi Sodhi was the perpetrator of the crime or whether there is some other conspiracy behind it.
