Rahul Gandhi to visit Punjab tomorrow, will meet flood victims in Amritsar and Gurdaspur
Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is reaching Punjab tomorrow (Monday, 15 September) to share the pain and suffering of the people affected by the recent severe floods in Punjab and to take stock of the ground situation. His visit is also considered very important from the political point of view.
According to the released program, Rahul Gandhi will land at Amritsar airport at 9:30 am on Monday. From here he will go straight to Ramdas area, where he will meet the flood affected families and listen to their problems. After this, Rahul Gandhi will bow down at Gurudwara Baba Budha Sahib Ji and will also talk to the Sangat serving there.
After Amritsar, Rahul Gandhi's convoy will move towards Gurdaspur district. Here too, he will visit the flood-affected villages and establish direct communication with the local people and get information about their needs. During the tour, he will also review the relief and rehabilitation work.
It is being told that Rahul Gandhi will return to Delhi by evening after completing his tour. It is worth mentioning that due to heavy rains and floods in the recent past, thousands of acres of crops were destroyed in many districts of Punjab and a large number of people had to leave their homes.
